Install laptop memory

I just have a question about adding more memory. I saw the thread about installing other brands, but how do you know if it is a good brand? I went to a store that sells Mac's and they told me to get laptop memory as it is cheaper and use that. I just want to make sure before I put it in that it will work.

It is called Memory Specialist by Transcend. Anyone know if I can put that in??

What iMac do you have, and what are the specs on the RAM?

i have an iMac Intel Core 2 Duo 2.16 GHz OS X 10.4.11

on the memory it says TS667N2=1024
1GB Memory Module STD 200P DDR2 667 SO-DIMM (128Mx64/PC2 5300/64Mx8 CL5)
