Does iMovie 08 have the same rendering issues as iMovie 06?

What I mean is, do we still have to drag (instead of Share -> Export) a slideshow from iMovie 08 to iDVD to keep the images sharp?

Will, as before, employing the Ken Burns effect on all images (even if you keep the movement static) help with the sharpness issue,?

Any other tip to keep slideshow photos as sharp as possible for burning in iDVD?
