I have 2 folders, one in Vista and the other in Leopard (separate computers)

They both contain the same data but every now and then I'll add a few files to one and not the other and so on. When I want to make them equal in content Vista allows me to merge the files into its folder but Leopard only gives me the option to replace (making me lose some files I may only have in the Leopard version of the folder).

Could someone explain how I may merge the folders in Leopard so they contain everything from both folders?

Merge the OS X folder with the Vista folder within Windows, and then transfer it back to OS X?

How about mapping the mac drive within windows (assuming these machines are connected over some kind of network) and use something like Allway Sync to sync the folder contents. It's free. Been using it for years across my windows 'estate':)

Lol Kash your reply was so simple I'm amazed I didn't even think of it. It might not be feasible as the folders grow in size though to always do that. I'll look into Allway sync also. Thanks for your help.

I have the same problem between my wifes mac at home and my PC at work. I tried this but i dont think Allway sync is compatible with mac because i could only get a .EXE not .APP. I eventually managed to get it done with Dmailer Backup but this is only a temporary solution can anyone tell me another way to do this when not on a network dmailer backup is not free.:Smirk:
