Hey all! i just got the iPod classic. one thing i realized was that it came with a different type of cord compared to my 2nd gen nano i had before. the side where u connect it to the actual iPod, there use to be a place where u could press it on the side so that it would go into the slot in the iPod. that "place" has apparently disappeared on the new usb cord...any ideas?

I haven't personally seen one of the newer USB cords where the end is smaller. I would imagine it would work if you wiggled it back and forth a little bit. Have you double-checked that there really isn't any buttons located on the sides?

Any ideas for what?

That's how the new cables are. You insert it when you want to use it and you simply pull it out when you are done.

Eric pretty much summed it up. You just yank out the new cords with smaller connectors.

Personally, I think it's rather silly, I like the larger ones with the buttons on the side.
