• The Mac-Forums Community Guidelines (linked at the top of every forum) are very clear, we respect US law and court precedence when it comes to legality of activity.

    Therefore to clarify:
    • You may not discuss breaking DVD or BluRay encryption, copying, or "ripping" commercial, copy-protected DVDs.
    • This includes DVDs or BluRays you own. Even if you own the DVD or BluRay, it is still technically illegal under the DMCA to break the encryption. While some may argue otherwise, until the law is rewritten or the US Supreme Court strikes it down, we will adhere to the current intent of the law.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying unprotected movies or homemade DVDs.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying tools in the context that they are used for legal purposes as outlined in this post.

This may sound ridiculous...but I am horrible with computers so I need help! I am trying to make a video for school and don't have a video camera. I have a macbook, and isn't the little thing in the middle a webcam? Could I use that to make a video? If so, how? Please help, I'm desperate! Thanks,
Victoria

iMovie will work. What version do you have?

See the "Other ways to Import Video" on Apples iMovie tutorial page if you are using iMovie 08. You can get to the tutorial page via the iMovie 08 Help menu. iMovie HD (06) has a similar capability. Oh yea, learn how to use the Help menu. Type the word iSight into the search box.

Recently I've seen people say they use Photo Booth, but it creates a mirror image which is wrong.
