Well, I was on Skype and after calling people awhile they told me my mic was blurry and scratchy, and well, I heard for myself when I call them, and mute my mic, it makes a big difference in background sound for them..
Is there a way to fix this?

Thanks.

Is the microphone the problem? (Test this by recording something with Quicktime or another app) If not, it's probably just lagging due to a weak internet connection or lack of available RAM. If the microphone is the problem, I would look around the internet for tutorials on how to disassemble a macbook (because I have an iBook G4) and replace the internal microphone. If that's too involved, then purchase a cheap $20 microphone and plug it in into your computer.

Disassembly? If it's broke, get it fixed. If it just sucks, get a better mic.
