At work I use the Creatures seen in the first post. They have no mid range. They're sorta a pile. Sorry.

At home my computer is connected to my Sony 5.1 system. It sounds ok but I will be upgrading to a set of PSB bookshelf speakers. They have a real nice, even sound from low to high. I was shocked the first time I heard them. I couldn't believe a sub wasn't connected.

My iMac G5 that I use all the time is hooked to Klipsch Promedia 2.1's. Very good sound overall and to me some of the best and most accurate computer speakers I have ever heard.

I have my one Mac Mini in my Entertainment system with JBL Studio Monitors and a 100 Watt Per Channel NAD Power Amp, Carver Preamp and many other components. Use that for watching movies and some serious music. Since everything is in a large network, I can access any music or movies anywhere on the network on the main stereo system fed by the Mini.

Creative SBS 330.
Got them at Wal-Mart on sale for $15.
Worth every penny. $15 doesn't get you squat these days.
The bass is great. Treble, right on.
Only thing I don't like compared to a more expensive set is the lack of a headphone jack.

Don't know.
The sub looks EXACTLY the same. Can't tell if there's any difference though.
I'd check it out but I don't feel like digging under my desk.

If anyone listens to these speakers you will be stunned. Best 2.1 speakers you can buy, no doubt about it. Not to mention they look great too.

Well, my trusty old eMachines speakers are on the fritz, and I'm on a tight budget for speakers.... $8, actually. And I saw these
http://cgi.ebay.com/Durabrand-Speaker-System-2-0-CH-USB-Powered-UC-280-NEW_W0QQitemZ140238852606QQihZ004QQcategoryZ32861QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem I know they're nowhere near the greatest, but I've always had good luck with Durabrand, so...

EDIT: Safari is having problems with the link for some reason, so when it tells you it can't find the page, just refresh and it should work.

Cyber Acoustics CA-3550. I had them for my old PC. They're cheap but they sound amazing for the price.

An old pair of Labtech. They are due for replacement as they are scratchy.
