Hi I'm going to be FEDEX'ing my Macbook Pro overseas.
Aside from packing it incredibly well has anyone got any tips as to how to keep to stop it getting mangled?

cheers

Do you have one of those foam overlay cushions that goes over the keyboard? If so, put it in the closed computer to prevent damage to the screen if it is forced into the keyboard. Other than that, if you pack it well, there shouldn't be any major problems. Of course there's always the possibility of a minimum wage worker dropping it 5 feet onto a concrete surface, but you can't always be prepared for everything!

Put it in it's original box, place any and all foam inserts into where they should be, tape it up real good using fibreglass reinforced shipping tape. That's all I can suggest

Sometimes electronics ship with little baggies that you wrap around them. Protects from any unwanted moisture I believe.
