Can anyone identify this iMac G5 part?

I dropped my iMac G5 onto a ceramic tiled floor. I was amazed that it worked when i snapped it back together, but then it stopped starting up all the way. I opened it again and noticed that this strange little piece of circuit board-type material was broken in half. It is a little boomerang-shaped piece that fixes to one of the corner screws. In the attached pic I have it flipped over, and the pink photoshopped marking is the area it normally occupies by sticking from the screw-hole through a slot and inside the corner.

Could this be causing my machine to turn off suddenly during startup?

Thanks!

Jenn

From first guess just by looking at the photo only, I figured it was part of the logic board that broke off. I thought the logic boards were blue. Your description seems to confirm my guess.
