I don't think you can as its streamed on OS X not downloaded and its illegal, so it goes against the law and the rules of this forum .

I am hoping the BBC will provide a download service soon.

I signed the government petition last year to require the BBC to allow download for macs

The BBC recently released the iPlayer for the Mac. That means content can now be downloaded just as it can be Windows. Here is the announcement from BBC News on the release: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/7787335.stm

As it is in beta, you must join the "iPlayer Labs" to use it. The download option will now be available to you when you navigate to a video. After you choose a video to download for the first time, the install process will begin. Go here to join up: http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/labs

Trying to rip the flash streams is not allowed, nor will be attempting to strip the DRM protection from the downloaded files.
