I've been an IBM compatible user for too long. Got my Macbook by trading an IBM PC with a kid going to college. I like this Mac and prefer it over any IBM I've ever used...but, the kid is the registered administrator with his own pasword, etc and he's completely lost all original discs and isn't sure what password he last used. Can't wait to see his grades!!

I want to use the Macbook instead of my IBM desktop but can't do much with it yet. What's the best way to get discs to setup the Mac from scratch?

It's amazing how capable the Macbook is!!

Thanks

The best was is to buy yourself OS X full install media. In this case it would be OX 10.5 (leopard), and then do a fresh load of the system. You may want to pick up a copy of iLife while you are at it. If you need iDVD, iMove, and etc.
