Macbook Pro 15" (early 2008, pre-unibody), 2.4GHz Core 2 Duo, 4GB RAM.
I have a Chinese font on my mac called BiaoKai.dfont. It shows up in the font book, and is available to chose from in TextEdit as well as Photoshop, but not MS Word. Anyone know what the reason for this could be or what I can try to fix it?

Thanks in advance for your help. I'm a recent convert and still figuring things out!

I suspect but am not sure - you need the Chinese language IME loaded. Did you select the language options for Office when you installed it? Also, you might get a better answer to your question here:
