Hi guys,
I'm in the market for a new 17" MBP. I know the MBP comes standard with 1680 x 1050. I just wanted to know if I wanted the higher res screen 1920 x ?, would I be able to buy this directly from the Apple Store, or would I have to special order it.

Thanks

Some (physical brick-and-mortar) store stock it, so it's worth calling them before you go in.

My experience with the local Apple Store here in Dallas is that their stock tends to mirror what is available on the Apple web site. They don't seem to carry a lot of the "build to order" versions of things. It is worth checking I suppose, but I wouldn't get your hopes up too high.
