Battery Health

Hey guys and gals

on august i purchased my first apple computer the macbook pro, loving it, but one issue has now come to light,

i had istatpro running and lately the battery health has fallen to 58% :O is there any way of caring it better

15" MacBook Pro (Early 2008) 2.4GHz 4GB RAM running 10.5.4
Drain your battery until it goes into sleep by itself and leave it unplugged until the status light has gone off then recharge it fully back again ~ this should improve your battery health.

Thanks so, when it goes into sleep leave it on until it has to shutdown due to no battery ?

Yep that's right. Takes about 4-6 hours to completely drain the battery after it has gone into sleep. Don't fear losing your data as it will go into "Safe Sleep" mode - think Windows "Hibernation".
