my external isight not working with skype

Hi,wondering if anyone can help me work an external isight camera with skype.I am running osx 10.4 and skype 2.7.Firewire cable on the camera.Can't test webcam or video chat with contacts.Any ideas?

Try a software update? Click the little apple at the top of the screen, click about this mac, and you will see a software update button. give it a shot, it worked for my girlfriends isight.
