I understand that I need iTunes with all my gadgets to sync to, but I am wondering if there is a good, easy, low-profile app that will play my iTunes library, so I don't have to worry about keeping iTunes open if I'm not syncing devices, downloading podcasts, etc and I just simply want to play an mp3, which doesn't take a lot of CPU or memory by itself.

Any good media apps out there that can play the iTunes library?

Songbird is pretty good. I would suggest Audion but you cant really get it for OS X anymore :( It was awesome
