I recently purchased a used iBook, I also bought an internal iBook cdrw/dvd drive wich I would like to install. Does anyone know where I can find a description on how to change the drives?
Thanks CJ

Search for instructions on how to take apart the iBook (should be plenty as people used to paint the inside of the g3 white iBooks....).

Then see what connectors are used etc.

Are there instructions of the manufacturers website?

What kind of drive is it? Slot or tray loading?

You can download VLC media player to play DVDs or you can install Apple's DVD player.

What ever version of the OS you are running, you mignt want to down load and re-install it using the combo update version (.i.e 10.3.5 combo update). Hopefully that will load the missing drivers and DVD application.

Well your drive should play CD's, I'd also try finding some generic drivers that are compatible with your drive..

Then you should be able to playback all media without problems...
