Does your ISP have a help program? Try them first to make sure all modem settings are correct. Does help if you are using a Mac friendly provider.

Have you set up Network in System Preferences with IP addresses etc?

Hi,
Yes they do , and it does explain in great detail how to install for mac but it still does not work. So i have found that this modem has caused many people problem in the past. I see that getting a new modem / router is advised , my question is which and can i connect to the mac with ethernet or does it have to be usb as it is now.

is there a way to test it on another machine? just to rule out if its the modem or the computer that is the problem....
