cracked casing on MacBook

I have a macbook since last October. A few days ago I noticed it cracked along the front along the full length where the depression is to put your fingers for opening the lid. Also where the keyboard surround panel meets the front (just above the IR eye) a tiny strip of the panel has broken off.

Has this happened to anyone else and should it be covered under warranty?

Just had this happen to the right of my touchpad. Brought it in, dropped it off, got it back 2 days later, no charge, completely replaced wristpads and keyboard and touchpad. Just bring it into the Genius Bar.
