Hi there

I have some videos of myself that are on DVD in some weird format.
The videos are very long... 2 hours.
I would like to pick and choose content and put them into 5 minute clips
so that I can post them on youtube.

What software should I get? I was looking for freeware but did not find anything good. I am running intel and not universal.

I am also a student. Can I get a copy from the school lab or what should I do?
Thanks!

Correction. Universal simply means that the application has been coded in such a way as to run natively on either Intel or PowerPC. So, if it's labeled "Universal", you're good to go regardless of what kind of Mac you use.

One more vote for iMovie. For what you want to do it sounds like the perfect application and the price is right as it comes with your Mac!
