Using projector with MacPro laptop running Windows XP

My new MacBook Pro will send a signal to my LCD projector and works fine as long as I am using the MAC operating system. When I switch to Windows XP, the computer will send my Desktop Background picture to the LCD projector but will not send anything else. I want the LCD projector to mirror what is on my laptop while it is in the Windows XP environment. Can anyone tell me how to fix???

Sounds like you have your desktop 'extended' to the second monitor. You should have your desktop 'duplicated' to your second monitor.
