Your Mac's Specs
Black MacBook- 2.2GHz, 1gb RAM, 160GB, Double-Layer Superdrive.
Is there anyway that I can install Vista on an external drive and then boot from that when I want to run Vista?

I'm pretty sure it's impossible to boot Windows of any kind from an external drive. I think it used to be possible with XP, but not any more.

the above statement is incorrect. Its true that its pretty much impossible to install Windows XP to an external drive, but it's very possible to install Vista on an external drive. Just google it and you'll find some info. I'm not sure about using it with boot camp, though.
