I came across a Ti Powerbook 667 (DVI) with no hard drive. I decided to upgrade the drive in my Al Powerbook 1.25 with a 160GB drive and moved the old 80GB into the Ti Powerbook. When I start up the Ti from the install disk and select disk utilities, the hard drive does not show up. Sorry to be prude about SATA connections but I can't tell the difference in the 2.5" connections, besides the ribbon cable plugged in, and to me thats a go!. My guess is that the Al Powerbook used ata-100 and the Ti powerbook used ata-66 is this a correct assumption, or should I be looking at the controller?
