Way... way too many specs to list.
Buying a new DSLR body, and the rest is going towards a 24" imac.

You forgot to add the option to save it to help pay for this war when the bill comes due ;)

Well, it's an economic stimulus check, so I guess the "best" way to use it would be to spend it ;P

Mine is already spent -- doing a lot of "upgrades" to the house. My check won't even cover the fence we're installing :(

Tell me about it. We're looking at installing a retaining wall and fencing in the back yard. Never knew just how expensive these things can be until the quotes started rolling in.

It'll be worth less then. Spend it now, while the dollar still has some value.. that's my plan ;)

In case you have not seen this:

As you may have heard, the Bush Administration said each of us would
get a rebate check to stimulate the economy.

If we spend that money at Wal-Mart, all the money will go to China.

If we spend it on gasoline it will go to the Arabs,

if we purchase a computer it will go to India,

if we purchase fruit and vegetables it will go to Mexico,Honduras, and

Guatemala,

if we purchase a good car it will go to Japan,

if we purchase useless crap it will go to Taiwan and none of it will
help the American economy.

We need to keep that money here in America.

The only way to keep that money here at home is to spend it at yard
sales, since those are the only businesses still in the United States.

Brilliant post "Man" and I thought I was the world's number 1 cynic!

By the way, I'm British. Can you all convince Gordon Brown (who?) to give us Brits a £600 tax rebate. Because like always, $600 equates to £600 when I buy things here made in the States.

Begs the question though, which is more valuable.. the design/engineering job.. or the assembly job?

In case you have not seen this:
The only way to keep that money here at home is to spend it at yard
sales, since those are the only businesses still in the United States.

The sad things about that are:

1) The stuff you're buying from the yard sale was probably already purchased from a foreign country.

2) The money you pay the "American business" is likely to go toward the purchase of something else from a foreign country.

So, the bottom line is that there is no way to keep the money in the US ;)
