File Sharing with Linux Fedora 8

I'm having trouble file sharing with Fedora 8. I can see my Mac on the linux machine, but i can't connect to the linux machine from my Mac. I'm running iMac 20in, 2gigs of ram, OSX 10.5.2

Please let me know what i'm doing wrong

Way... way too many specs to list.
Sounds like a permissions issue. What method are you using for sharing? NFS shares, SMB shares? If it's SMB, make sure you have the appropriate samba users and they have the appropriate permissions.

The easiest method for file sharing with linux is SMB (Samba) networking. Make sure your mac is the in the same workgroup as your linux box.
