not enough free disk space

I'm trying to convert Final Cut files into Quick time
and it tells me there is not enough Free DISK SPACE.
I deleted my trash and that worked for a while, now my trash is empty and i'm still getting an error. Could I have too many Video files for my comp?

Yes. The file size of the movie you are rendering is too big for the empty space you have left on your computer. You'll have to save files to disks or external hard drive and/or delete things from your computer.

And remember your HDD needs about 20% free space to work at its peak. Put your videos and other stuff on an external HDD using Firewire as USB, even USB2 is too slow.
