Hi all, hoping some one can please help with what may seem like a simple question (for some anyway!). I am wanting to add some ram to my imac, but have been informed that this is only possible to do with an imac Intel Core 2 Duo as opposed to just an Intel Core Duo.
These are the specs of my Mac:
Model Name: iMac
Model Identifier: iMac4,1
Processor Name: Intel Core Duo
Processor Speed: 2 GHz
Number Of Processors: 1
Total Number Of Cores: 2
L2 Cache (per processor): 2 MB
Memory: 1 GB
Bus Speed: 667 MHz
Boot ROM Version: IM41.0055.B08
SMC Version: 1.1f5
Would be very grateful if some one could tell me if I can in fact add some more memory? With an Intel Core 2 Duo I'm told I can buy the PC5300 2GB to make a total of three - can I put this in my mac? Thanks!
