Hey there,

Since i installed Leopard my display freezes. Usually when i play games(had this problem in 3 games, so its not the games problem) but sometimes it happens when i use visualizer in iTunes, or photobooth, and sometimes when i just play around my computer. For me to play a game and enjoy playing it i have to adjust the video setting to the minimum. And even then, after a while the problem occurs. I used to run tiger on a iMac 24"(white)
and i never had this problem.
Now how do i know that only my display freezes, is because i can still listen to music, talk by skype, and even play the game, and ofc not seeing anything but a still image : / So i went to apple shop to get some help , they told me to go back to tiger : / I also runned the hardware application and everything is fine.
Shall i go back to tiger?
Shall i change the graphics card?
What shall i do ? Need some help.
Thanks :)

Which Mac are you using?

You mentioned running the hardware application. Were you referring to the Apple Hardware test?

At this point, I would probably reinstall Tiger. If the problem goes away, there must be a software conflict with Leopard. (Which really doesn't make sense) Unless there's some 3rd party hardware or software you are using.

If the problem continues, then it would probably be a hardware problem.

Unplug everything except the mouse and keyboard. Then try an Erase and Install.

Good Luck and let me know how it goes!

When i tried to install the updates of Tiger, the computer crashed(not the display). i boot up and it opens normal and i tried to isntal,l the updates again, then the updates install. I press restart and since then my computer wont even open. I starts with the white loading screen with the little apple and then the 'u have to restart' message comes up : /
I tried to insert to apple cd to make a clean install all over again , but it wont even open , and eject so...
