I would like to upgrade the memory in my ibook and wanted some guidance on how much I can put in, where to put it in and where to get the correct memory chip.

I currently have 128 and need to upgrade to 256 or 384 or similar.

Thanks,

What are the specs for your iBook? (G3, G4, processor speed, screen size)

Check out OWC or scan your Mac from Crucial.

I'm trying to buy memory for my iBook G4 14". Is there a difference between PC memory and Mac memory with the same specs. Can I just buy any DDR PC2700 333 MHz 200-pin SODIMM? or does it have to be specifically an iBook module?

any chip will work fine, shoot for a 1gb module to max out your system. They're dirt cheap these days anyways.

Ram is ram. As long as you have the right specs, which you seem to have, you'll have no problems. I just recently took ram out of an old iMac and put it in my daughter's PC. The computer has no idea...;D
