App for checking hard drive maintenance?

I just took a look at Smart Utility, and it couldn't check the info on my external drives (both have 2 partitions each) and I am wondering if any of you know a great utility that will tell me how healthy my hard drives are.

This will tell you the SMART status of the drives (built in chip on the drive that monitors drive health)

Otherwise run disk utility on the drives to verify and repair any faults
