They are having some 8PM showings around here as well, but I have to be in bed somewhat early for work. :(

I'll wait for it to come to movies on demand and rent it, maybe.

If my friends force me to go this weekend, then I'll be going. Otherwise, I'll be waiting for next Tuesday afternoon when the theater will be completely empty and I can get the best seat in the house :D

Don't get me wrong, I'm totally exciting about this movie, but I'm just too old to be waiting an hour in line just to get crappy seats to watch a movie I've been anticipating for a long time.

I'm not some one who goes to see a movie at midnight, but I will defiantly go see it tomorrow during the afternoon showing.

Iron Man

I just saw the midnight show and was amazing! :D It was action packed and had a pretty good story line. It was definitely one of the best movies I've seen in the theatre in a long time. What did you guys think of it?

Nope, not going.

Quit going to theaters when they decided to start showing commercials.
The last 3 or 4 times I went, was so mad by the time the movie started, I couldn't enjoy the first 30 minutes of the film. The last time, I left, demanded my money back, and haven't gone back since. That's been at least 3 years now, from an average of going to see 3-6 movies a month.

Not to mention, at Amazon prices, can buy Blu-Ray or HD-DVD movies for less than the price of going to a matinee and buying one drink and popcorn. Works for me.

You don't like the trailers? I think that's one of the best parts of going to the theater!

Love trailers - only it wasn't trailers.

The theaters here actually started showing paid product advertisements to increase their revenue.

And not just one or two - after the trailers, they would show 4, 5 or 6 product advertisements. Regular old TV commercials, only a little better done. The theaters can either have my money or let the product advertisers pay for my seat. But I'm not paying my money, and have to watch commercials before the show.

While I agree that there are what seems to be a zillion commercials, I still enjoy the experience of going to the movies.

I'm going to see Iron Man tonight.

Oh that sucks. Thankfully we don't have the problem here.
