I'm trying to import video from my sony handycam into my macpro. But it says that I have no AV input even though I have the correct cables. Has anyone ever had this issue?

Can you give a bit more details please.

Model of Camcorder, type of connection on camcorder, type of connection on mac, which app is giving you the error etc.

I don't know if this is true or not. But I heard that Final Cut isn't compatible with Sony cams. I wouldn't know because I use a JVC.
