I used to play Commander Keen when I was younger, and have been trying to figure out a way to play it on my Macbook Pro. It is a dos application. Is there any way I can install a download, without a hitch, and be able to play it?

You could consider DOSBox for your MacBook.

I will second DOSbox. I have it to play Tyrian 2000 on my imac. And it works like a charm once it was properly set up. I do recommend it.
