converting video files to DVD

does anyone know of software for macs that converts video files like MP4 and avi to DVD format? i would preferably want this for free. :)

Yup, there's a program called iDVD that comes with your computer for free, try that out.

13 inch Macbook Pro Retina, 2.7ghz, 128gb SSD
iDvd will create the video with menus etc... if you dont want that then I would advice on purchasing visualhube, its a great app that can burn standard video files into to dvd...
