Powerbook G3-400 + iPod problems

Hi everyone,

I'm getting a weird problem when I plug my iPod to my Powerbook G3 (through the FireWire port). Sometimes it'll show up in Finder, sometimes it won't. When I plug it in I'll always hear some HD action, and the iPod will always start recharging. The only thing is that sometimes it just won't show up in Finder or iTunes. It's like if it wasn't there.

I'm running Mac OS X 10.3.5, and I updated all software to the latest version. I have 192Mb of RAM installed.

Any ideas on how to get to find out what is causing this?

Had that happen once, I ran Yasu (repaired permissions, ran crons) and rebooted. Worked like a charm ever since.
