Apple releases Boot Camp updates...

Apple releases Boot Camp updates to support Windows XP SP3 and Vista x64.

Hopefully they've fixed some of the sound card issues I've seen reported here and there.

I've been reluctant to install Vista x64 due to the several sound issues on Macbook Pros. I don't require it since I have a Vista x64 desktop PC but it'd be nice to have on my laptop as well. Can anyone provide info on the sound issue and if its resolved with this update?

Hello,
I (PC user) have heard that Boot Camp can support only a number of partitions limited to 4 ... is this still the case with this update ?

Is it confirmed that this update now supports Vista 64bit? I bought the retail ver. of Leopard the day it hit the store shelves and it did not come with drivers for Vista 64bit.

does this actually allow older computers to update and run 64 bit versions of vista? The download is a .exe... How do you update bootcamp with this. do I just need to have it on my mac before I install vista?

what older conputers?

This updates BootCamp and is installed within Windows.

It is not an update to the BootCamp Assistant within OS X.
