Video output on MacBook?

What do I need to run video from my Macbook into my plasma tv? Does anyone know what the quality would be? I am thinking about getting Guitar Hero for MAC and was wondering if that would work and what the video quality might be.

I know on my iBook I just had to get an adapter...but I am having trouble finding the info for Macbook.

What hook ups are on you tv?

HDMI, Component, S-Video, Composite....I think a VGA too. It's a 42" Panasonic.

I know I need a Mini DVI to VGA converter I think....just really curious as to the quality.

Prolly the best route for you to go to obtain the best quality is:

Mini DVI to DVI (from Apple) then DVI to HDMI (Newegg has good prices on cables).

I have the Mini DVI to Composite and S-Video adapter. With both Composite and S-Video, the quality at the highest resolution on a brand new wide screen is terrible for anything other than watching movies, playing video games, or showing slideshows.

You will definitely be best off going with DVI/HDMI or VGA. Avoid Apple adapters just because of the markup. I have read some complaints about the longevity of their adapters, too, but I'm guessing it's no better or worse than any others.

Yeah, I would only be using it to play games on my tv...not watching movies....hmm...it might just have to be an experiment.

You need one of these DVI to HDMI, and Apple's mini-DVI to DVI cables.

So it will go mini-DVI-->DVI-->HDMI. Hope that makes sense
