installed Leopard iTunes on external issues

Hey all,

I am going crazy. I just got my new iphone and decided to upgrade to leopard on my mac mini. Now itunes will not register my music off of my external drive and I do not have enough space to have my music on the hard drive ( 500+ cds). And yes, I have set my preferences in itunes to work off of the external drive.

What am I doing wrong and how do I get itunes to still work off of the external drive???

Did you set the iTunes Music folder in Preferences>Advanced to the new location on the external? Did you "Consolidate" library?

I did reconfigure it to go to the external but I did not consolidate it ( not sure how to do that)

Sometimes iTunes forgets. Here is what I did when my Apple TV would play purchased music.

Open iTunes
In the menu bar click "Store"
Click "Deauthorize Computer"
Then locate any purchased media and play it
You will then be asked to authorize the computer again
Then everything worked, for me
