when I turn on my iMac, the Home Folder is open. Everything was closed out of when I shut it down, so I can't understand why it would do this - any suggestions? I went into my log-in items, and cleared out everything. This has been going on for about a week. Just today, the documents folder was open instead. I am running 10.5.2 on a new aluminum iMac with the latest firmware update.

I created a new account for testing, and it worked flawlessly so it must be something wrong in my account.

Any help would be appreciated - i've tried all that I can think of!

Thanks.

Go to System preferences>Sharing>Login Items and see if anything there has been selected or is that what you mean by cleared out?

If yes , try running Repair Permissions. Leave it run for about 25 minutes it takes without interruption.

Hi, thanks for responding. Yes, i've cleared out my Log-In items. Right now I have EyeTV helper (which even if I clear out - once I use EyeTV it's back), and my Microsoft updater - which i've deleted before, but again, once I check for an update - it's back) - these have been there ever since I had my computer - but this issue is new.

I did try repairing permissions - but no luck. The thing is, it's at random - if I start up my computer 5 times in one day (for example) - it may only happen twice.

I know my AIO printer from HP has caused sleep issues with my system - and I'm wondering if now it's affecting this as well...

If you have any other suggestions, please let me know. Thank you again.
