Graphics Card Issue?

My computer has began doing this quite regularly... What is up?

Make sure the graphics card is seated nice and tight. If okay run Apple Hardware Test as this does a graphic card and pixel test sequence.

I'm guessing that's not what your background is supposed to look like? Try putting on a different desktop picture.

That's not his desktop - take a closer look at the pic.
It's a Safari window.
Are all the tabs/windows like that? Any other apps do that?

It happend for a little while and has since stopped. It actually stopped as soon as I posted this thread. And it happened for all windows and applications.

Keep an eye on it. When a graphics card/chip starts to fail you usually see artifacts and shapes everywhere.

Would it be worth going in early? Telling them what has happened? Or do I wait a year for my warranty to expire before it fails. That would be annoying.

Opinions? This is worrying me. It started happening again.

Unless you've been messing with the video.. well, I guess drivers, or kexts, or whatever.. anyway, you have a 50/50 shot of that either being video memory or GPU. Either way, make your way to an apple store post haste.
