Hello,

So doing more research on the topic on my S5 and it's focusing problem, the attention has shifted to the made in china vs. Japan controversy.
Mine is made in china btw.

I have the same issue the poster in the 2nd link is having.
I have a blue pixel in the same position, it's not on the LCD because it shows up on my Mac too. I also have some dead pixels on the screen which I thought weren't a big deal.
Well since it's having a hard time focusing, i'm curious if I should send it back or not.
Apparently the made in Japan (MIJ) ones have a different, more sturdy finish and the MIC S5s make a bunch of clicking/buzzing/whirring sound when focusing, and since most cameras do that i didn't think it was a big deal, but i did think it was a bit loud. After reading that discussion i find i'm not the only one who thinks that.

It sort of makes me suspicious and a tad angry, even if it is a bit premature.

Anyone else have an S5?

Experiences?

I'm debating to return it or not. I got it from Amazon before xmas, and i'm wondering how long the return will take me. I don't want a return really, just a replacement, but there's really no way of telling if the replacement is going to be MIC or MIJ, but as long as my problems are fixed i'm fine either way.

It's confusing me at the moment.
