Quick background - I just upgraded my work computer to Leopard. There must have been something already on my computer because this is what my dock looks like:

I don't want the Tiger dock. I want the Leopard dock. Help!!

Have you tried change the settings? Looks like a Leopard dock to me if you have little 'lights' under the open applications rather than the little arrow from Tiger.

Go to your Applications folder, then from there to your Utilities folder, and open Terminal. Copy the following exactly as it appears into Terminal (you can use copy+paste):

defaults write com.apple.dock no-glass -boolean NO
killall Dock

The "defaults" through "NO" section tells the system preference file for the dock that you want the dock to be glass (it's a double-negative). The "killall dock" command closes and opens the dock to apply the changes, so no restart should be needed.

Thanks Daniel_Moore! I actually looked it up after posting this and that is exactly the code I used in Terminal and it worked perfectly. :D

Thanks!
