is somebody using a cable lock to secure his ibook when being in a library or other more or less public places.
i'm interestend in whether you think it's safe or not and if there are big differences in quality of the locks.

Most locks work will if you connect them to an object that can not be moved. The only major problem is some individuals leave the key in the lock and the lock in there workarea and leave. All a person has to do to get the laptop is replace the lock with another one. The person locks their laptop with this new lock, the owner of the lock return with another key and takes the laptop top. But this would not be the case for you. I have a Master cable lock which works very well.
