I am going to be purchasing a laptop soon and have been thinking that a used macbook pro with additional software might suit my needs better than purchasing new and then also having to purchase the software. I think this could get quite costly.

I am wondering if it would be ok to purchase this package:
Apple Macbook Pro with almost 7 months of extended Applecare warranty remaining, and it is completely transferrable.

It comes with all accessories, cables, and reinstall discs, and software, and power supply.

Quark 6.5
Photoshop CS
Adobe InCopy
Adobe InDesign and GoLive CS2
Office 2004 or Office 2008
OS X Tiger 10.4.11
And a bunch of other stuff
The specs are:

1.83Ghz Intel Core Duo
80 GB (5400 RPM)
2GB RAM
128MB Video card GeForce FX Go5200
6X "SuperDrive"
Bluetooth 2.0+EDR
Standard (802.11g)

(OR)

Should I look into getting a newer genreation of the macbook pro and get the software later?
