iPod and Software version

PLEASE HELP.

I have just bought an Alpine Headunit and it won't recognise my iPod 80gb classic because the software version (1.1.1) is not compatible with it.

How can i upload the previous ipod software version?? 1.1.0 i guess, i.e. the one that came with it when it was new. Please help me!!!!

do a google search for that firmware for your ipod, download it, and then click the apple button on your keyboard and restore at the same time and then select the firmware you downloaded to install.


This will delete everything on your ipod just so you know.
