Hi Friends,
I was wondering if there is a possible way by which I can transfer files from my Mac Book to another Mac thru internet as the laptops are not located at the same place. Additionally is there a nice split and join tool for Mac?

Thanks,
Sam

As for FTP over the internet, it is very possible, though any type of remote access requires a little knowledge of how the protocol you're using works as well as router configuration.

If you already have some basic knowledge then just download your favorite FTP client, port forward FTP in your router(s) and turn on FTP in your Sharing preference. If not, then spend some time on Google to figure out what client you want to use and how to port forward FTP in your router. The easy part is turning on FTP.
