Calculating??

I took battery out of my new ibook to check the serial number and after reinstalling it, the battery display in the upper right corner just say calculating...

It worked before. I have checked the apple site and this site. Does anyone know how to fix this?

This is from PC thinking, but have you rebooted the laptop?

So click on the calculating menu, and choose another option. Then go back and rechoose the option you had. That should get rid of the calculating.

Thanks. I did try adjusting the battery menu, but that did not work. It reverts to calculating when I set it on the "time" option. However, it also seems to be stuck on 94% for battery strength.

I'll keep at it.
