If you didn't understand the subject, I'm connected to my router with a cable and my room mate's computer (windows) is connected using wireless.

How do I network to share files and be able to do the LAN gaming connections

Thanks :)

If its Xp (im assuming) then you should beable the run the Network Setup Wizard on your machine. Then the last step will be to make a network disk (floppy disk) to run on the other machine (your roomates). Then when the wizard is complete, the shared documents from both computers should be in My Network Places. This is similar in 2000 and in ME. Good luck! :)

Read the topic, he wants to connect HIS APPLE G5 to a windows pc. So he isn't running Windows XP now is he?

Basically you need to enable file sharing across both machines.

On the mac go to: 'System preferences -> Sharing -> Windows Sharing' and enable it.

On the PC, right-click the folders you need to share, and select 'enable sharing'.

In 'my network places' on the pc, you should now see the mac. To see the windows pc, go to: 'finder menu -> Go -> Connect to server' and enter your friends IP address here.

I think that's how it works anyhow...
