Problems with data dvd

Hey!, I'm having a weird problem.
Some data DVD's aren't been recognize by the system, they appear as blank, and i'm pretty sure they have some Data burned in them, I try'em in other Mac's or even some PC's and they read it just fine.
¿Does someone Know what's happening?

PD:Video DVD's I have no problems with, just data.

I'll appreciate any answers!!! Thank you!

maybe your drive is more fussy

have you given then a good clean (especially at the edges)

Well, I have a MacBook Pro, unless I open the body cleaning the drive it's a bit hard, Is there a way to do it?
