Sounds like an Atari handheld game console that was cool but failed miserably commercially.

I guess lynx sounds good, except for the Atari connection. (I actually remember those) The last would have to be Lion, since it's the king of the jungle

Actually, I think he is referring the latest of the two releases, Leopard and Tiger together. Even though a Liger is a mix between lion and tiger. I may be wrong though. Both work, but the earlier makes more sense with Mac OS's.
